Technology should work for you.

Jaybird Digital builds, hosts and manages websites for small businesses, nonprofits and local groups, for one simple price. Here is why it exists.

It started with my dad’s website.

My dad was paying GoDaddy more than $300 a year for his website, email and extras he didn’t need. Part of that was a fee for extended PHP support, because his WordPress site had never been updated. Several of its add-ons needed updates too, and the site was slow.

Around San Antonio, I saw the same thing with friends who run nonprofits and small businesses. Their costs were astounding, and most of them got there simply because nobody had shown them a better way. One friend who owns a music school was paying almost $6,000 a year for hosting, email, a domain name and a web designer who made one or two changes a month.

Today my dad’s website, Wheeler Home Services, runs on Jaybird, and so does that music school’s.

Simple to approach, simple to use, and it does the work for you.

I have always wanted to make technology less scary and easier to reach, so that it works for people instead of making their lives more expensive and complicated. Jaybird is how I think technology should be.

As we met small business owners with different needs, we added what they asked for: online stores, payments, shipping and the extras you would normally pay a premium for. It is all part of one price: $7 a month, or $70 a year.

  • Your website is built, hosted and managed for you.
  • Ask for a change in plain words, and look over a private preview before it goes live.
  • Your own domain name and business email are optional extras, priced on their own.
